First Time Home Buyers Class

Date: October 5, 2010 - October 26, 2010

Location: Eastham CDP Conference Room

Price: $45 ea. $65 per household

Join us for our “CHAPA” certified First Time Home Buyers class. The course will consist of four 3 hour classes. Participants who successfully complete the program will be awarded a certificate which may make them eligible for certain assistance programs or mortgage products. Topics covered will be: budgeting and your credit; working with a Realtor; obtaining a mortgage; legal; insurance; home inspections; home appraisals; keeping and maintaining your home and energy saving ideas for your existing and new home. The course is open to any interested individuals or households. Space is limited and pre-registration is mandatory. Once you have registered you will be mailed an information package that will need to be returned in order to compete the registration process. Your seat in this class in not confirmed until this additional information package is returned to the CDP. Dates: October 5th, 12th, 19th and 26nd. **Special note: when registering- indicate per household of 2 or single.

    Smart Start Workshop

    Date: November 1, 2010 - November 10, 2010

    Join us and other start-up businesses for the Smart Start Workshop. Smart Start is a four-part (4 separate 2-3 hour days) interactive program for individuals at the early stages of business development. Participants will discuss the basics of marketing, identifying customers, understanding the competition, smart money management, and creating a business plan. At the conclusion of the workshop you will be prepared to give a short presentation of your business concept to a group of professionals. November 1st, 3rd, 8th & 10th, 2010. Evening sessions 5:30-8pm; except for the last day which is a morning session 8:30 – 10am.

    Note: This is a broad stroke picture of what owning and managing a new business is all about. Our monthly seminars are targeted with more specific hands on information.
